Probably you get paid, that's why. otherwise i bet they wouldn't care about you, except there are somethings in urgent. they needed you there to standby. Maybe they want to you have more "communication" with your hk's office colleage. ?!
In hk office is better , you can visit more websites on net comparatively when you are in china.
